Recognize this lady? Her name is Gypsy Rose Lee (originally Rose Louise Hovick) one of the great American burlesque artists and upon whose memoir the musical
Gypsy is based. I'm reading a new biography of her life called
American Rose: A Nation Laid Bare: The Life and Times of Gypsy Rose Lee. Rather lifetime, isn't it? So far I'm really really enjoying it so stayed tuned for a full review if/when I ever finish it. It took me two months to finish the last book I was reading (
